solo.

Took off for the day to Willamette National Forest.
Mission: driving arm, rock out, sing too loud to everything (my shuffle treated me well on my drive), lay in the sun, and check out the forest. Oh, and get the heck outta town!
(not pictured, the beautiful Detroit Lake with epic Mt. Hood in the background.)

This was safe, promise.

The only thing about this spot that bothered me were the people. For once, not simply because they were people, but because so many of them chose to leave their trash all over this place. Sad.
I managed to have some pleasant stranger conversations despite this. Another beautiful thing about this spot- butterflies. Black and yellow slow moving sleepy dreamy butterflies were flying around the quiet spots threatening to land in my palms...

I jumped.

Twice.
None of those little boys in the photos are me.

Made it home for some snacks, and whiskey in the neighborhood with awesome folks.

oh, & this will never cease to make me giggle.
(this car shot might not have been so safe.)
